1. Who we are
Haus Format LLC, a PLVNTD Company, a Georgia limited liability company doing business as Haus Format, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our registered and mailing address is 830 Glenwood Ave., Ste 510 #320, Atlanta, GA 30316, and our official website is https://hausformat.co.
2. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, phone number, city and country, date of birth, and the account type you selected.
Identity verification: a government-issued photo ID you upload, and the outcome of our internal review. This document is classified as sensitive personal information under applicable law; see "Your privacy rights" below for how we handle it.
Booking information: the house, format, dates and times, guest or attendance counts, the details you provide about your stay, shoot, gathering or retreat, and the Experiences you select.
Payment information: payment status and non-sensitive payment references returned by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.
Technical information: IP address, browser user agent and the client used, recorded with security-relevant actions such as accepting booking agreements.
3. Why we use it
To create and secure your account, verify identity, take and manage bookings, calculate pricing, coordinate on-site operations and Experiences, process payments, prevent fraud and misuse, meet record-keeping obligations, and respond to you.
4. Who we share it with
Stripe, to process payments. Independent Experience providers, limited to what they need to deliver a booked service. On-site staff and security, limited to operational details. Our hosting and database infrastructure providers. Authorities where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
5. Identity documents
Uploaded ID documents are stored in a private, access-controlled location. They are accessible only to you and to authorized Haus Format reviewers, and access is logged.
6. Retention
We keep account and booking records, including the record of which policy versions you accepted, for as long as needed to operate the service and to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. You may ask us to review or remove information that we are not required to keep.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information. We extend these rights to all users of the Service, regardless of state of residence, as a matter of policy rather than only where legally required.
Right to know and access. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law, such as information we are required to retain to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, comply with a legal obligation, or exercise our own legal rights.
Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Certain categories of information we collect, including the government-issued identification document you provide for verification, are classified as "sensitive personal information" under applicable law. We collect and use this information solely to verify your identity, secure your account, and prevent fraud — purposes for which the law does not require us to offer an opt-out. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond identity verification, account security, and fraud prevention. If our use of sensitive personal information ever expands beyond these purposes, we will update this policy and, where required, offer you the right to limit that use before doing so.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act. Because we do not engage in either practice, there is currently no opt-out to exercise; if this changes, we will update this policy and provide a mechanism to opt out before doing so.
Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of the rights described in this section.
How to exercise these rights. You may submit a request by emailing support@hausformat.co. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, which may include confirming details associated with your account. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require the agent to provide proof of your written authorization and may still require you to verify your own identity directly with us. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law. There is no cost to submit a request or to have it fulfilled.
